This page is dedicated to the custom "Eliminator II" pulling sled. This sled started life as and Eliminator sled produced
many years ago. Some of the extensive modifications done to this unit make it more durable, smoother, easier to use and more
efficient.

The above weights were made by Dave Engle of the Weight Pullers of Central New York and although I have many more weights,
only a few were necessary to photograph to show how they function. The adjacent photo shows how they attach to the weight
box. The large weights are 10 pounds and the small ones are 1 pound. Ideas for the sled modifications are combined from my
own as well as some used by Dave.

In the photos below and to the left, some of the modifications can be seen. The sled has been lowered both front
and rear, the front skid place has a swivel mount installed that utilizes a flat needle bearing for smooth movement under
loads, also on the skid plate is a dirt shield and custom chain hookup/mount. Other modifications include rear axle tubes
to decrease the amount of exposed axle shaft thereby increasing the strength and capacity, a custom weight box that has a
lower profile and weight slots to accept the "keyed" style weights. Also, there are new custom made delrin rollers with
internal needle roller bearings also to increase durability and capacity. This roller plate that the weight box
mounts to attaches to the chain using an aluminum block with a stainless shaft and two springs. This is a shock absorber for
the weight box which smooths the transition when the box tops out and is easier on the driveline of the sled.
